Digital marketing news #1

Here are my brief reflections on three recent developments in digital marketing:
‣ Google’s 2019 ‘Code Yellow’ and the convergence of search and ads
Finding the right balance between the need to generate revenue, ensuring a positive user experience, and preserving your unique value proposition is an ongoing challenge. Discovering the ideal mix of growth strategies, user-friendly experiences, and valuable content while maintaining trust can be a delicate task.
‣ Google’s mobile-first indexing transition is complete
We all know that mobile-first is the way forward in understanding user behavior. If your website features complex or content-rich pages, this can be quite challenging. Mobile screens provide limited space, so it’s essential to prioritize and condense content.
‣ Have you checked out Lapse, the new photo app?
It looks like a photo app with the privacy of a group chat. A simpler and more user-friendly version of Instagram. It offers 36 photos with a film photographic look, and you can’t review or edit them.
The New York Times reports that it’s now the second most popular free app on the Apple App Store in the United States.
Will it endure?
